RUTS was conceived and designed to create a platform for individuals interested in public speaking to practice their oratory skills in front of an unfamiliar audience. The evening’s program was structured to offer excellent opportunities for Networking and Mentorship.
The program was opened up to include individuals who had interest in storytelling, poetry, spoken words and appellations (in Twi) to showcase their talents and seek mentorship opportunities from the more experienced participants present.
RUTS Nite was absolute fun with a lot of learning. The program was in 3-sessions:
The pre event was an outdoor session structured to enhance networking among audience, performers and sponsors. The session was made fun and lively with good music, “Welcome Cocktails”, Photo shoot, Fashion Exhibition, Traditional games, local drinks, fingers foods and a hot sizzling local barbeque (suya).
The main event was an indoor program set up to entertain the audience with storytelling, poetry and drama. The activities of this session were nicely arranged and delivered. The performers were truly engaging and thrilled the audience to the core.
The post event was designed mainly to further enhance the Networking and Mentorship. The cocktails and barbeque continued alongside Raffles, Treasure Hunt and a Fashion Show.
Feedback from participants (both audience and performers) have been very positive and <raving>. We all keenly look forward to the next RUTS Nite.
